"My Year 7 Science work this week:
On Thursday we completed a bubble challenge where we needed to try and blow 12 bubbles inside each other (12 is the world record). Our mixture is washing up liquid and glycerol, which holds the particles together making for a stronger bubble. Megan tried to beat Mr Edwards’ 4 bubbles but failed although she was able to blow massive bubbles!
On Friday we tried a Spaghetti Tower challenge, which involved building spaghetti into a structure similar to electricity pylons. We were challenged to see who could make the tallest. We needed to consider which shapes are strongest, demonstrate teamwork and communication in pairs whilst watching not to burn our fingers on the hot glue!! Megan and Hannah beat Mr Edwards in the tower challenge and Lewis came 3rd.
It has been amazing!"
