Opposite Direction perform in 'Sing for your Heart' Concert

On Monday 24th November our amazing boys’ vocal group, ‘Opposite Direction,’ took part in the ‘Sing for Your Heart’ concert at the Crewe Lyceum hosted by Crewe Male Voice Choir.  This was a very prestigious event, helping to raise £1,500 for Heart Research UK, and was attended by a number of local dignitaries as well as the Director of the British Heart Foundation, so we were honoured to have been invited to take part.

Although one of the smallest schools there, we were the only all-boys group – a fact much remarked on.  As always, the boys performed with enthusiasm and their own unique style.  They really engaged with the audience and easily received the loudest applause of all the schools for their Les Miserables Finale piece.

We have received a number of lovely comments about the boys and their performance, including the following:

“Their set piece was wonderful and I heard most favourable comments from members of the audience around me, none of whom had any connection with the school.”

“Their spot from ‘Les Miserables’ in the massed choirs’ finale was a triumph and received the loudest applause and cheers.”

“I can’t remember when I was more proud of our pupils, who presented themselves and performed in such a professional and entertaining way.”

“This choir is a great advert for the school and the support of the parents, the dedication of the staff and the enthusiasm of the pupils has been outstanding.”

We also received personal congratulations from Cllr Paul Edwards, Middlewich Town Mayor.

We are so very proud of each and every member of The Opposite direction.  They are all true stars.
