Our Year 11 cohort have certainly risen to the challenge of the new GCSEs and produced the best results the school has had.

Progress 8 measure for the Department of Education takes the starting points for students from their KS2 and measures progress in relation to their GCSE outcomes in 8 GCSEs. Our figure for Progress 8 of -0.13 has been recognised by the DFE as significantly above floor standards and also above the standard for ‘Coasting Schools’  (-0.5 and -0.25 respectively).

19 subjects performed above National Averages, with attainment for most subjects above 80% A*-C. We are proud that for 4 qualifications had success of 100% A*-C.
