Bostock is located on the outskirts of Middlewich to the northeast of Winsford and the southwest of Northwich. Bostock is a small village which has got houses, churches and a Great Hall in the area. Bostock Hall has been rebuilt and remodelled quite a few times. Bostock is also a surname, which originates from the Cheshire area. The surname originated from the place name in central Cheshire written as 'Botestoche' in the 1086 Domesday Survey. Ancient records claim that a Saxon thane (lord) named Osmer is the original inhabitant of the village.
