House System

Middlewich High School has five houses: Bostock, Kinderton, Newton, Ravenscroft and Stanthorne.  Each House is named after the historical areas of Middlewich.  Please see the navigation bar on the left for the House pages.

Why Do We Have Houses?

• Sense of belonging

• Opportunity to engage in a diverse range of activities

• Opportunity to participate in healthy competition 

• Develop a sense of community cohesion 

• Show compassion for other people

• Breaks down barriers between year groups

• Creates a sense of togetherness

• Encourages older students to support the younger ones

 

House Competitions

All pupils have the opportunity to earn House points for their House

House Points are at the heart of our reward system

Points are awarded for things such as:

• good A2L scores
• high attendance
• community spirit & kindness
• participation in House competitions
