Meet Our Senior Leadership Team
Headteacher - Ms H Thurland
I was appointed as Headteacher of Middlewich High School at Easter 2019. For more than 20 years I have worked in Cheshire East in a number of different schools and in different roles. I am passionate about learning, benefiting from an excellent education myself.
Education opened doors for me and I want the same for our students. I firmly believe that it is our role as educators to ensure that our students leave us as well rounded, well informed, happy citizens. I also believe that the qualifications they achieve with us should give them choice in their futures and the opportunity to go beyond their own expectations. It is my determination to ensure that education at Middlewich High School is the best it can be every day for every one of our students. I am a relentlessly optimistic individual who sets high personal and professional standards, I believe that success finds itself in hard work and resilience. Finally, as an educator our greatest reward comes from the academic success and personal achievements of our community; working with our students is an absolute privilege - it is in my view the best job in the world!
